Core Crafted Design Outlet is the newest addition to Ballinahown - Irish Designer Craft Village. Core Showcases the largest selection of craft designers, artists, and creative's in the midlands. The aroma of freshly ground coffee, and the temptation of locally baked artisan food from the Core cafe is tempting as one browses the extensive range of locally produced crafts, including ceramics, jewellery, paintings, glasswork, paper, woodwork, textiles, and metalwork. Core houses the work of over 60 designers.
Across the road is the studio of the famous Celtric Roots, home to the fascinating Bogwood sculptures made from materials almost 5,000 years old. The material is indigenous to the area and is lovingly recreated into pieces that reflect the beauty and natural richness of the landscape of the midlands.
Our visit to the village includes complimentary tea and scones in the studios where you will hear about their work and activities before getting a chance to browse among the beautiful displays.
